Rahman launches music school
Madras Mozart A.R.Rahman has launched a music school in Chennai. It is named as KM Music conservaory. Rahman did not give the expansion of KM. he just said that it refers to holiness.It was launched on Chennai 12th in the presence of renowned musicians.
The project is expected to be completed in two years.The school would offer three important courses: a part-time two-times-a-week preparatory programme for anyone with no age limit; a foundation course for beginners and a two-year diploma course for advanced study after the foundation course.
The fee structure is being finalized. Indian students will be charged a concessional fee. A 50 percent scholarship from Rahman's Foundation will be offered to students considering their talent and economic background.
T. Selvakumar is the managing director of KM Music Conservatory. Besides Rahman, others present on the occasion included Ms.Vendy Paar (violin trainer), Pushkar (composer-cum-conductor), and violin maestro Dr. L. Subramaniam (hon. adviser), Gulam Mustafa Khan (Hindustani vocalist), Randel Giles (composer from US), Lendis Lav (violinist from Czechoslovakia), Srinivas Krishnan (professor) and Murtaza Khan.
Rahman's objective is to create an authentic Indian orchestra or symphony that not only sounds distinctly Indian but also blends various aspects of Indian culture and bhakti.Rahman said "We want our Hindustani and Carnatic musicians to be able to read Western notations and adapt to playing with other musicians."
Rahman has taken a bold step by opening this school. He said there was no problem in managing the project along with his film career. Music has given a lot to him.Now its Rahman`s turn to give back to music. It is an example for people of various fields

Dhoni all set for graduation
The Indian Cricket captain M.S.Dhoni is all set to complete his graduation. Dhoni visited the professor of St.Xaverier`s college to enquire about the system.He is interested in pursuing B.Com.Dhoni had completed class XII from D.A.V school Ranchi.Principal Nicholas Tete said that he need to enquire from the Chancellor and the University regarding this.Since Dhoni is very busy he may take up the distance education mode.Once he gets admission it will be test time for him.

Film city for Joy city
There is going to be a film city ion the city of joy.A delegation from Paramount brands along with several US business honkos will arrive at KOLKATTA between March 7 and 9.They will discuss about setting up the first ever made Holllywood film city in India. Cricket Australia reprimands Hayden
Australian batsman Matthew Hayden was reprimanded by Cricket Australia in Melbourne on Wednesday for calling Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh an “obnoxious little weed” in a radio interview. Hayden was charged under Rule 9 of the CA’s Code of Behaviour, which prohibits public comment. The charges were issued by the Code of Conduct Commissioner Ron Beazley.The Indians gave a written complaint to the match referee Jeff Crowe. Hayden said: “It’s been a bit of a long battle with Harbhajan, the first time I ever met him he was the same little obnoxious weed that he is now.”

NANO the people's car
TATA Nano is all set to hit the roads. Nano is the brain child of Mr.Ratan Tata. Mr.Tata was inspired to build a car for the middle class when he saw four people travelling in a scooter on a rainy day. Its name indicates us that it is smaller in size and it is quite advanced in technology. Its powerfull 674cc engine is suitable for long distance as well as city ride. The engine has been shifted back in order to make the car compatible. It is smaller in size than Maruti 800 but it is 21% more spacious than Maruti 800.The car comes in three variants.
